Winter Family Fun [Photos]

Happy SmileFinally, we had Snow!

Emphasis on had. With our second snowstorm in just over a week, we finally had a chance to go outside and play in the fun white stuff on Saturday. Sadly, however, no more than 72 hours did the temps raise and the rain washed it all away. Boo.

Still, we took photos for about 15 minutes as Christian enjoyed his first time playing in the snow. You can tell by the look on his face that he was totally enjoying himself, too.

As fun as it was, there’s not immediate signs of another snowstorm this week, and we’re still waiting to find out when in February our next Door County trip is going to be. It’s such a shame that we haven’t had our usual snow this winter, but at this rate, maybe we’ll still be skating outdoors on my birthday in mid-April. :)

Holiday Photos from Old Orchard [Photos]

Everything is just coming at us so fast. I don’t know what’s crazier: Thanksgiving just 72 hours away or less than 2 weeks until Christian’s Baby Luau?

I’ll tell you one thing – the holiday season waits for no one. So while we were out getting started on our shopping list Sunday at Old Orchard, we took a few minutes to start letting the spirit sink in a bit, and take some photos in front of one of their giant, decorated X-Mas trees.

Not the last of the season, for sure. But as these weeks go flying by, these two just keeping getting cuter and cuter. We’re so blessed!

Enjoy the photos.

Millennium Park Visit [Photos]

Hard to believe it’s already been a week since we were there, but last weekend we made our first trip downtown with Christian to visit Millennium Park and to spend the afternoon downtown.

All told, we spent four hours walking around, seeing the sights, and enjoying some unbelievably warm autumn weather. As you can see from the photos, a great time was had by everyone.

Old Orchard Weekend Photos

Well, made it home from my business trip (2nd in 4 weeks) on Tuesday, and rather than catch up on sleep, I caught up on the photos from this weekend instead.

There are probably a few more I can still edit, but I’m happy with these for now. I hope you agree.

Christian Clap

After a week of cold(er) weather following the Labor Day holiday, we finally made our way back into the upper 70F’s this weekend. So we made sure we took advantage of it.

We ended up walking around Old Orchard on Saturday for close to four hours. Between lunch (first us, then Chrisitian), walking around, and take photos, it was a full afternoon for what could be the last summer-like weather we have this year.

Photos are coming soon, but for now I figured you’d enjoy a little clip of what of Christian’s newest activities…clapping.

Nine Month Checkup

Earlier in the morning, Christian had his nine month checkup already. Things went extremely well, as he was a total champ between the two shots and the finger prick for a Hemoglobin test. Honestly, I think he had a thing for the nurse, so he was trying to impress her. He only cried for about 10 seconds, and that was it.

As far as numbers go, he weighed in at 22lbs, 5oz and measured in at 29.5″ tall. He’s still in the 75% percentile for growth, and if he keeps up this pace, we’ll keep buying him clothes in sizes 3 months ahead.
