Turkey Day 2011 [Photos]

Gobble, Gobble.

I hoped you enjoyed your Turkey Day as much as we did, and if you’re not already shopped out with Black Friday shopping, maybe some photos from our feast will bring you some cheer.

With this being Christian’s first Turkey Day, and his first birthday less than 10 days away, you just knew we’d be capturing photos, didn’t you? Dinner lasted a little over 2 1/2 hours, so there was so much to do – and our little guy was a true champ throughout.

Enjoy the photos, as well as a few of our favs below:

Our Door County Weekend [Photos]

A little out of order, as these were from before Halloween, but our family ended the month of October with our final road trip of 2011.

Last weekend, we made another trip up to Door County, and had some absolutely beautiful weather. Much better than our October trip in 2009, that’s for sure.

And while we were able to enjoy the weather outside, we took advantage of the remaining fall colors to snap a few photos.

Was such an amazing time. Right now, we’re thinking our next Door County trip will be in early February, but obviously there’s a lot to do until then.

We hope you enjoy these photos.

Christian’s First Halloween [Photos]

October has come and gone, and although we didn’t hit the streets to trick-or-treat with Christian this year, we do have some photos to share.

Be prepared to meet… Monkey Boy!

We can only imagine what was going through Christian’s head dressed up like that, but we do know one things for sure: He was glad it’s only once a year. :)

Millennium Park Visit [Photos]

Hard to believe it’s already been a week since we were there, but last weekend we made our first trip downtown with Christian to visit Millennium Park and to spend the afternoon downtown.

All told, we spent four hours walking around, seeing the sights, and enjoying some unbelievably warm autumn weather. As you can see from the photos, a great time was had by everyone.

Autumn in the Park [Photos]

Time for some new photos – hot out of the camera!

After a dreary end to September, the last week here in Chi-town have been gorgeous. Unfortunately, it wasn’t until Friday that we actually had a chance to go out and enjoy it.

Nevertheless, we found our way outdoors Friday afternoon for a stroll through downtown Park Ridge before dinner, and ended up doing a photo shoot at Hodges Park just across from the train tracks. Here are the shots from that session.

Weekend Plans

I mentioned the great weather we’re having, well, it’s supposed to continue through this weekend as well. Yay!

Our goal is to make it downtown at some point over the next few days – maybe more than once – to visit Millennium Park to introduce Christian to the Bean. We’ll see if we actually make it, but if we do, you can imagine those shots of Christian are going to be adorable. :)

Until then, enjoy.
