Baby See, Baby Do [Video]

Time for another catch-up post with another recent video.

This is one from April, and before you get the wrong idea…the cup is empty!

The running joke is that Christian has probably seen Papa drink about 500 of these venti chai’s from Starbucks since he’s been born, so the moment he got his hands on an empty cup, he knew just what to do with it.

He seems to be using it more as a teething ring than pretending to drink from it, but it’s still cute.

The Chase [Video]

After a brief stroll down memory lane earlier in the week, I’m making an effort to get some of the photos and videos from the last few months posted here so all of you that don’t get to see Christian every single day can get caught up on what you missed. Kinda like those Comcast On-Demand commercials. :)

Outdoors in March?

Although this post is from the first week of May and we hit 85F on Wednesday for the first time in awhile, the following video was actually from March 25th. Yes, it was hard to believe that we were outside without coats while it was still March, but shortly after that April brought us back to reality.

Anyway, here’s Christian chasing around his Uncle Bobby and drawing out the jealousy of his uncle’s dog.

That Hat

This is one of the first times it was nice enough for Christian to wear his new hat. Since then, he has received so many compliments on it, we’ve lost track. In fact, if we had a dollar for every time a complete stranger said they liked his hat, Christian’s college fund would be looking pretty nice right now. :)

Okay, maybe not that often, but still it’s at least 2-3 times a day whenever we out somewhere.

The really neat part is, he just recently started grabbing his hat off the sofa or wherever it is an putting in on himself (but only facing the right way about 25% of the time). There’s video – of course – but that will have to wait until we get the website caught up through this first week of May.

Stay tuned, if I’m able to keep posting regularly, there’s a lot more to coem and we’ll all be caught up in no time.

1st Hockey Stick

And so it begins…

Where's The Goalie?

I know it’s been awhile since the once regular posts and updates about our little guy (be honest, that’s why you’re here), so my apologies for that. Still pretty busy and all that, but we’ll try to do more as time allows.

Hockey Stuff

Moving on to the good stuff, Christian had a little fun with his very first hockey stick this weekend, and of course, we had to share.

Saturday was a non-typical double-header for Papa at the roller rink, and before the game, we gave Christian one of Papa’s sticks to play with, and Mama shot this video from her phone.

As you can see, he took to it very well, despite it being more than 2x his own height.

So, before Sunday’s trip to the rink, we decided to cut down one of our old sticks to be more height appropriate for Christian, and captured another video and some photos as well.

And, the photos:

We were all set to do a full photo shoot on Monday after work, but Papa came down with the flu on Sunday and has had to avoid contact with Christian ever since. :( Having Papa sick and suffering is one thing, but having a 16 month year old with the flu would be way worse, for sure.

Next Weekend?

With any luck, Papa will be fully recovered by this weekend (or Mama might kick him out of the house until he’s better) so if this amazing weather continues, you can bet we’ll be trying to get outdoors and take some more photos. If we do, I promise to share them here with all of you.

Until then, stay healthy!

Look Who’s Walking Now [Photos]

MotivationAs some people have bore witness to already, our son is up on two feet with nothing standing in his way these days. I had also promised early last week to share some photos and a little video of Christian showing off his latest talents, so it’s time to make good on that promise.

Here are a few images from us with Christian shooting out in the hallway of our condo building.

Maybe it was just a little cabin fever being smack in the middle of winter these days, but both of us had fun running through the halls with Christian for a little bit on Sunday. It seems he gets a kick out of it, too, when you’re standing next to him one second and taking off full speed the other way. Seems like foreshadowing to some great afternoons outdoors this spring and summer.

Fortunately, no other tenants were disturbed during the photo session or the shooting of this video. :)

X-Mas Morning [Photos]

Again?Do you remember your first x-mas morning at the early age of one? Me neither.

At least Christian will have photos to look back to, anyway.

While he obviously had know concept of waking up early for presents, something with his internal clock woke him up about 30 minutes earlier than usual. We still managed to get through the normal morning routine, however, before getting to the presents around 10am. We didn’t go overboard with presents this first year, so there wasn’t a ton to open.

But as you can tell, he still had fun.
