Two battles were fought in Round 2 of the NHL Playoffs on Day 17, as we followed the action from our hotel in Iowa while visiting family. Let’s check how our Round 2 picks played in their series debuts.

As mentioned earlier with our Round 2 picks, Papa and Christian are aligned in all four series this round. And with that, they both fell short of a win on Friday. Everyone lost with Tampa’s defeat of Washington, which we weren’t expecting, but were happy to see actually. Tampa is now 4-0 on the road this post-season, which bodes well for a team that’s the lowest seed in the East.

But it was a newcomer for San Jose who put in the OT goal for the Sharks that gave Mama the only winning pick of the night. While we always like to see Detroit go down in flames, it will be a tough battle to see if the fish can knock out the Wings for a second straight post season.
