It’s not the weekend yet, but the Nelson ‘ohana took a trip down to Brookfield Zoo on Thursday and we snapped a few Instagram photos to share the day with everyone.

Welcomed rain after all the heat this week, but it ended up lasting longer than just a brief shower.

All told, it was a good day. We learned a few things, like trying to get there at 10am closer to when the park opens so that the animals are still awake after breakfast, and Christian isn’t too fascinated with everything in the Children’s Zoo just yet.
Yet everyone had a fun time, and with any luck, all the fresh air and time outdoors (which has been short this week because of the high temps) will mean our little guy will have one, nice long rest tonight. :)
