Hawaii Magazines

Another great way we keep in in touch with our Hawaii favorites is through a few bi-monthly magazine subscriptions. There are probably a few others out there, but these are the two we've been receiving and reading for the last year or so.

Hawaii Magazine is a great source of information and activities for all the islands, and it was the first subscription we purchased covering the Hawaiian Islands. The magazine started in 1984, and in 2007, it started being published right on the island of Oahu, bringing "the beauty, culture, music, food, people and places to your home every issue."

Since it is a multi-island magazine, the Island Hopping section is a nice way to keep tabs on what's going on all year round on each island. Admittedly, we're more than partial to the Valley Isle, which is why we picked up a magazine subscription specifically for Maui.

As we mentioned, we're head over heels on Maui. Maui No Ka ‘Oi ("the best") reminds us why every time we receive a new issue. As their website boasts, "Approximately 70 percent of our readers are repeat visitors who return to Maui at least once a year," and we're happy to fit into that category.

Much like the Hawaii Magazine, the publication also offers the latest coverage of local activities, dining, events, and featured stories, with stunning photographs and commentary from many local Maui residents.
